Welcome To Utahimf.org

14-02-17-UIMF-LOGO-FINALWho We Are: The Utah International Mountain Forum (UIMF) is a coalition of several student clubs on the campus of Utah Valley University (UVU) including: Sustainable Mountain Development, Foreign Affairs, Model UN, Russian Club, College Democrats, College Republicans, and others. Together these clubs work under the umbrella of the UIMF to sponsor events which 1) raise awareness of mountain sustainability topics, 2) bring the public into contact with international guests and foreign dignitaries, or 3) bring communities together to recognize their shared mountainous heritage.  Members of the UIMF gain professional skills through an engaged learning model by addressing real-world problems of mountain communities as a group with a faculty serving them as a mentor.

capitolreef3Our Mission Statement: To promote the sustainability of the world’s Mountain Environments and livelihoods through youth efforts, and community-engaged learning both locally and globally through advocacy, networking, knowledge sharing, and exchanges of best practices.
