National Security Club


President: Ryan Griffith

Ryan Griffith is from Pleasant Grove, Utah and has grown up his whole life in the Wasatch Front. He is a sophomore at Utah Valley University, currently majoring in Political Science and minoring in National Security and Russian Studies. Ryan has been involved with UVU’s Political Action Committee, helping to further political understanding across campus, as well as UVU’s interests on the state level. In addition to being the current president of the National Security Society, Ryan serves as student coordinator for the Center for National Security Studies.


Vice President: Kyle Manola

Kyle Manola is from Denver, Colorado originally but moved to Utah during the latter portion of his high school career. He currently resides in Provo, Utah with his wife Atley and their daughter Myla. Kyle is a senior at Utah Valley University, majoring in Integrated Studies with emphases in Peace & Justice Studies and Psychology as well as minoring in National Security Studies. Kyle has taken particular interest in issues of national security and hopes to pursue a career in counterterrorism. In addition to being Vice President of the National Security Society, Kyle also serves on the National Security Student Advisory Board.


Secretary: Mitch Riley

 Mitchell Riley is from Orem, Utah and has spent his whole life around UVU. He has been married to his lovely wife Erica for two years. Mitch, a senior, is a Behavioral Science major with an emphasis in Family Studies and Mediation. He is an Air Force ROTC Cadet in detachment 855, where he has been selected to be a nuclear and missile operations officer. This summer Mitch has been selected as an intern for the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon, focusing on nuclear policy and training. He currently serves as secretary of the National Security Society and President of the Air Force ROTC club.
