Vice-President, Model UN Club, Mary Cisneros

Mary Cisneros is originally from Virginia but has lived here in Provo for 17 years with her three kids. Mary, who is a senior here at UVU, is majoring in integrated studies with an emphasis in peace and justice studies and sociology. She also is minoring in political science. This past summer, she took the opportunity to study abroad in Cuba, where she studied its history and politics at the University of Havana, as part of the peace and justice studies program. She says that it was a great experience and that the people of Cuba were very warm and friendly. While she was in Cuba, she attended services at the Baha’i center in Havana and was told that she was the first Baha’i from the United States to visit them in 15 years. Mary is also the proud grandma of an awesome boy named Xander.
